YOU are the one who carries out this mission each and every day, therefore we seek to hire only the very best teachers, and then we treat them like members of our family.

Team Values

Every member of the Growing Hearts and Minds family is an integral and valuable part of our mission. We carry out this mission together, and we have 4 values we can look to in remembering why our work is so important.

We Support Each Other

  • Show up on time and work your entire shift.
  • Schedule your absences appropriately with the impact of the center in mind.
  • Limit unexpected absences to when they are needed.
  • Take vitamin C, get good sleep, eat reasonably, wash your hand, and don’t take advantage of the flexibility you are offered.
  • Be aware of how your mood, demeanor, and affect influence those around you.
  • Offer compassionate! Others are likely struggling with something you know nothing about.

We Engage with Children Wholeheartedly

  • We are able to have the deepest impact on the heart of a child through engaged personal interaction.
  • Lower yourself to the level of each child.
  • Allow what matters to each child to matter to you.
  • Be congruent with who you are and what you have to offer them.
  • Develop an empathic understanding of other people’s feelings.
  • Affirm to each child that who they are is beautiful and worth of love.

We Develop Meaningful Relationships with Parents

  • Get to know every parents name of the children in your primary classroom.
  • Seek to make one meaningful connection with every parent, every day.
  • Develop an understanding of each parents concern or primary desires regarding the development of their child.
  • Seek commonality and connection with parents.
  • Enter a parents world, and offer compassion for what matters to them outside of childcare.

We have Fun!!

  • The foundation of having fun is working hard and knowing that the work you do matters to children, their families, your fellow teachers, and to yourself and the ones you love.
  • We operate from a posture of gratitude.
